Henize 206: Cosmic Generations
The Spitzer Space Telescope peered into Henize 206, a dusty nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud, revealing a stellar nursery filled with newborn stars. These stars appear as white spots within the gas and dust in this infrared image. Sweeping arcs of a supernova remnant are also visible near the top, indicating a previous generation of massive star deaths contributing to the cloud's evolution.
