NGC 7635: The Bubble Nebula

NASA APOD · Russell Croman
COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 7635, the Bubble Nebula, is a cosmic showdown between the stellar wind of a massive central star, BD+602522, and a giant molecular cloud. The star's powerful winds push gas outwards, forming the bubble, while the dense molecular cloud resists. This interaction creates a striking boundary where the cloud is heated by the star's intense radiation.
