Supernova Remnant E0102-72

The star that exploded to create E0102-72 lived in the Small Magellanic Cloud, 190,000 light-years away. We see its remains in X-ray from the Chandra X-ray Observatory and in visible light from the Hubble Space Telescope. The expanding debris cloud is still spreading out from the original supernova.
