Dim World, Dark Nebula
Dwarf planet Pluto is notoriously difficult to spot, especially as it drifts through the crowded starfields of Sagittarius. In early July 2010, however, it crossed in front of a dark nebula. This image, captured from New Mexico Skies, shows Pluto marked by two short lines, made visible against the obscuring dark nebula Barnard 92.
