Zeta Oph: Runaway Star
Zeta Ophiuchi is a runaway star, twenty times more massive than the Sun, plowing through interstellar dust at 24 kilometers per second. This infrared image from the WISE spacecraft shows the star creating an arcing bow shock as it compresses and heats the surrounding material. The bluish star near the center is moving towards the top of the frame, leaving a curved trail of glowing dust.
