Io, one of Jupiter's moons, is the most volcanically active body in our solar system. Its surface is constantly being reshaped by lava flows. This high-resolution composite image, created from 1996 data from NASA's Galileo spacecraft, is centered on the side of Io that always faces away from Jupiter. The colors have been enhanced to show the diverse surface features.
