COSMIC MESSAGE
This sprawling cloud, cataloged as RCW 114, is a supernova remnant in the constellation Ara. Its extensive filaments glow with the reddish light of ionized hydrogen atoms. The shockwave from a massive star's death explosion continues to expand, sweeping up interstellar material and causing it to emit light.
