Noctilucent Clouds over Paris Fireworks
Noctilucent clouds are visible over Paris, illuminated by fireworks. These are the highest clouds known, forming from small ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. They become visible at sunset in late summer when sunlight from below hits them. NASA's AIM satellite has observed them since 2007, but much about them remains unknown.
