UGC 2885, a giant spiral galaxy, is about 232 million light-years distant in the constellation Perseus. It spans about 800,000 light-years, making it roughly eight times the diameter of our Milky Way galaxy. This galaxy holds approximately one trillion stars, about ten times more than the Milky Way. The Hubble Space Telescope captured this image as part of a study on galaxy evolution.
