The Horsehead Nebula, a interstellar dust cloud, was sculpted by stellar winds and radiation into its recognizable shape. It is embedded in the vast Orion Nebula, M42, about 1,500 light-years away. This gorgeously detailed image was taken in infrared light by the Hubble Space Telescope, allowing us to see through the dust.
