Young Star Cluster NGC 346
NGC 346 is the most massive young star cluster in the Small Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy to our Milky Way. Located 210,000 light-years away, its massive stars are short-lived but very energetic. Their powerful winds and radiation sculpt the surrounding molecular cloud, triggering the formation of new stars within the region.
