NGC 4372 and the Dark Doodad

NASA APOD · Matias Tomasello
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Dark Doodad Nebula is a long, dusty cloud drifting through the southern skies in the constellation Musca. It stretches for about three degrees against rich starfields, just south of the Coalsack Nebula. Near its southern tip, the yellowish globular star cluster NGC 4372 can be seen, a cluster that roams the halo of our Milky Way.
