Young Star Cluster NGC 346
NGC 346 is the most massive young star cluster in the Small Magellanic Cloud, our small satellite galaxy. Located about 210,000 light-years away, it's embedded in the galaxy's largest star-forming region. The massive, short-lived stars within NGC 346 sculpt the surrounding dusty molecular cloud with their powerful winds and radiation, triggering the formation of new stars.
