The Rosette Nebula, also known as NGC 2237, is a vast cloud of gas and dust where new stars are forming. It sits about 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Monoceros. This image, captured by the Dark Energy Camera on the Blanco 4-meter telescope, reveals the intricate details of the nebula. Inside, a cluster of young, hot stars, NGC 2244, illuminates the surrounding gas.
