Galaxies in the GOODS
This view from the Hubble Space Telescope shows galaxies scattered across vast distances, part of the GOODS project. The Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey aims to study galaxy formation and evolution. It covers an unprecedented range of cosmic distances, spanning from the present to the early Universe. The Chandra X-ray Observatory and future infrared telescopes are also part of this effort.
