The GRB 110328A Symphony
On March 28, 2011, the Swift satellite detected an unusual gamma-ray burst, GRB 110328A. It flared again after 45 minutes, indicating it was not a typical burst. Twelve hours later, the Nordic Optical Telescope observed its optical counterpart. This event was picked up by many telescopes, creating a symphony of observations across the electromagnetic spectrum.
