This full Moon on November 28, 2012, was near apogee, making it appear smaller and dimmer than other full moons. This phenomenon is sometimes called a 'micromoon'. The image, a composite of frames taken two minutes apart, shows the Moon rising over Baku, Azerbaijan, with its reflection in the Caspian Sea.
