Mars Panorama 360 from Curiosity
The robotic rover Curiosity continued its ascent up Mount Sharp in Gale Crater, Mars, in early September. It is searching for clues about ancient water and evidence that Mars could have once supported life. This 360-degree panorama was taken by Curiosity before exploratory drilling. The images help the human team on Earth assess the landscape and plan future routes for the rover.
