NGC 604: Giant Stellar Nursery
NGC 604 is a giant stellar nursery located about three million light-years away in the spiral galaxy M33. It spans about 1,300 light-years, nearly 100 times the size of the Orion Nebula. Within the Local Group of galaxies, NGC 604 is second in size only to the Tarantula Nebula. Cavernous bubbles and cavities fill this region, sculpted by stellar winds.
