Space Station Silhouette on the Moon
That unusual spot on the Moon is the International Space Station, silhouetted against its surface. This image was captured from Palo Alto, California, in 2019, with an exposure time of just 1/667 of a second. The ISS took only about half a second to cross the entire Moon. You can even see the outlines of its modules in this crisp silhouette.
