COSMIC MESSAGE

A dark wolf, made of dust, lies within the Gum 55 Nebula in Scorpius. This cloud, Sandqvist, Lindroos 17, absorbs intense ultraviolet light from young stars. It then re-emits that light at longer, infrared wavelengths. This process is crucial for creating the conditions where new stars can form.
