The International Space Station, the largest human-made object in orbit, was captured in this image after the Space Shuttle Discovery departed. The photo shows the station high above the Caspian Sea, with its modules, trusses, and expansive solar arrays visible. Expedition 13 crew, a Russian and an American astronaut, were operating the station at the time.
